My Compaq (running XP) bit the dust a couple of weeks ago when a dog chewed the cable to my USB-powered speakers and fried the motherboard. I KNOW my data is still on the HD, the geeks at Best Buy were able to see it. I purchased a new Gateway (running Vista), and an external hard drive enclosure so I could transfer data from the old drive to the new one, then reformat the old drive and use it for backups. The problem is, all I can see is the recovery partition on the old drive, but not the data. Please tell me there’s a way I can transfer my data to the new drive myself!
EDIT: Nevermind. I fixed it. 🙂
