Relatively new to Linux 7.2. Got it installed, thought I got Samba all set and running, even got to add my user name and password in and thought that was all set. Tried to verify the smb.conf file, verified domains, etc…
I can telnet into the machine. I can ping it by either IP or by Name. I can see it through network neighborhood. Bubt any time I try and acces it through Windows, I get the User name and password dialog and nothing will work. I use the same exact user name and password fortelneting and it works fine there. But anytime I try and get Windows to access the Linex server, I get stuck at this password and user name prompt. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance for the help!!
