I have file share(s) on a NT server(s) (sometimes a PDC, sometimes a member
server) that I would like to make available to many 9x clients. I can get
this to work only if I create a domain account with the same name as the 9x
Microsoft Networking user name used log in to the 9x client. However I want
to make the file shares available without adding any user accounts to the
domain and without having to add any computers to the domain and without
having to have the 9x clients log in to the NT domain or give some sort of
user name/password upon using the share. In short I want a share that is
“securityless”, that is truly available to *everyone*, not just users NT knows
about, a share that works just like a share made by a 9x machine.
