My computer use to have an automatic response when I inserted my digital camera's sd/mcc card. Now I have not automatic response. I used to access the card by the local G drive. No G drive appears in the My Computer window so I cannot access the card that way. How can I access the sd/mcc card?

I see no where in the device manager screen or under the properties of the sd/mcc disk drive that informs me that the media reader is a happy device. Is there another way I can check what kind of media card reader I have?

Media card readers will shutdown and disappear when ...
You invoke the Safe Removal Method when wanting to remove the SD card from the reader.
If the machine has not been re-booted since the last time the SD card was removed, the media card reader (in it's entirety - ALL the slots) will no longer exist or be recognised by the system.
If that is the case a simple re-boot will bring them back 'online'. :)
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem.
