Acessing a restricted user account

By mami.wata ·
Hello,

My laptop's hard drive crashed this week and I used a hard drive enclosure to back up my data from the failed hard drive to my desktop's.
I was able to access folders for all accounts/users (administrator, guest, etc.) BUT couldn't access the one I've named "Super User" in the past. I do still have & remember the password to access it but the PC doesn't even give me the option/field to enter the password.
When I click on the folder, I get "access denied" message.
Any helps on how I can access that folder will be highly appreciated.

Thanks again.

You need to take ownership of the files by following the directions here

If you have encrypted the data you'll also need to copy out the encryption keys by following the directions here or you'll only be saving garbage that is unusable
