I have one installation of Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1.6 that is misbehaving. It asks to register (name, address, etc) every single time you run the program. It doesn't matter if you enter the info, click "Don't Remind Me", or "Register Later" - the dialog box just pops back up every time.
This occurs both before and after the e-license has been downloaded so the activiation process is complete.
I looked around in the registry for something obvious but I can't identify anything. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the problem came right back.
I did find a comment about it on the Adobe web site but the suggested solutions do not work. They suggest creating another user account and clearing the request there. They also have a registry edit but the key they refer to doesn't exist.
This is being installed locally on a Vista Ultimate system. There is another installation of the same product on another user's computer that is behaving normally.
Hope someone can help. Thanks!

You said "There is another installation of the same product on another user's computer".
Unless you purchased multiple licenses and IF that other person has registered, the license you're trying to use on this machine is invalid and it will keep telling you.
They say to find the "AdobeViewer" key but the location they point you to doesn't have it. I decided to search for "AdobeViewer" and found it in another place. I deleted the key then reinstalled. It worked this time.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
