Acrobat active in Task Mgr, Process Tab

by pcmaster . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I’m running Windows 2000 and Netscape 4.78. When I open a PDF file in the browser, the acrobat document opens. When I close the document out or move on elsewhere, acrobat remains active on the machine, eating up about 30 MB of RAM…sometimes causing problems. I have 256MB of RAM. Why doesn’t acrobat close down as well? and How would I go about making it close out automatically without having to go to the task manager and stopping the process?
