Acrobat Default File Location

By whyjillwhy ·
Is there a way to edit Acrobat's default file location (when doing a Save As)? When we download a file from the web, it always wants to save it in a temporary internet folder. Can we change where it defaults to?

Are you right clicking on a link in Internet Explorer?

Or, hitting the save file icon in the Acrobat reader window?

IE should be holding onto the last folder where you saved a file to.
If not, try using File - Close to exit IE instead of using the "X" in the upper right corner.

Acrobat Reader holds onto the last folder where a file was opened from.
Again, you may need to use the File - Close dialog instead of the "X" to get settings changes to stick.

That didn't work. I'm not in IE; I'm in Acrobat 5.0 (not the reader; the full version). Also, I should have mentioned that we use Docs Open (document management). This problem is arising when we save natively (ctrl-shift-s).

where away the last file is saved it takes the last path of the file. No we don't have any options to change the path to save the File.

Thank you

I don't understand exactly what you're saying in the first sentence. However, it is not saving to the last saved location. It always reverts back to the same temp folder. Thanks.
