Acrobat Reader & MetaFrameXP

By TomH5150 ·
I have clients connecting to MetaFrameXP 1.0 (on NT 4 Trmnl Svr) thru NFuse 1.51 client. They are able to view Adobe Acrobat files (i.e. attached to e-mail messages in Outlook), Acrobat Reader 5.0 is published on MetaFrameXP.

But they are unableto print pdf files properly; printed pdf file has what looks like ascii characters. Printers themselves are HPLaserJet4.

Citrix Universal Print Driver is installed. NT 4.0 Terminal Server is on SP 6 & MetaFrameXP has SP 1 w/ Feature Release 1.
I did find the following articles from Citrix CTX267969 & TechNet Q267896. But they seem to be for older versions of Adobe & MetaFrame.

Any ideas? Thanks.

The quick fix for this is:
go to your print menu and check the box "print file as image" .
BUT that does not fix the big picture. I would suspect that "embed fonts" was not checked in the Distiller job settings under the font tab. However there can be other issues which can include fonts and printer drivers.
Question:Who is creating the PDFs, and can you verify how they are created?
I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Charleskin! Fix worked well. I'll try to get "PDF Creator" to let me know how they're creating the file.
