I'm not sure but the question about the 32 Bit Key working on a 64 Bit System it shouldn't work.
However having said that with a M$ OEM Disc I recently had a incident where the System Maker returned a NB sent in for repair and they installed a 32 Bit OS which accepted and used a 64 Bit Key.
Naturally I only picked up on this after I had fully reloaded the system and restored the customers Data to it so I have to wipe and reload again.
I don't know if it would have worked long term but it most defiantly accepted the Product Key as well as passing the Activation Routine and did work well enough for me to fully reload the system and setup all Settings and Data.
The problem here is that with OPK Installs you are not prompted to see which version of 7 you have installed the Version is Dependant on the Product Key and when you run the initial Setup you are not prompted to see which Bit Version of the OS is has been installed via the OPK Procedure.
Hi i have the boxed retail Full windows 7 dvd, it comes with a 64 and 32 bit version of the OS (as well as each edition of the software (ie home premium, professional, ultimate etc) And one product key for the Version you purchased, in may case professional, and it works for both the 32 and 64 bit versions of windows 7 Professional. it will not work on the other editions though.
