ACTIVATING RESITRATION AFTER SELLER STOPS BUSINESS

Unfortunately had to install new hard drive after crash. Year’s ago I bought card software from DreamQuest who no longer operate & website disappeared. I am trying to reinstall, using the registration details [which I bought] but obviously cannot activate it & after short trial ends. My techie cant help, I have looked thru Registry to try to find anything obvious []I am novice]. Can anyone please help as really want to reinstall & use the software & nothing else as good. Hope someone has ideas. Many thanks

I am afraid that if the author/developer is out of business you need to find new software. Part of the registration process requires their system to be active to complete the process. Since you mentioned that they are out of business, there is no way to register it.

Hi, Thanks for trying. The game that I really cant replace is Championship Spades, no one else does such a variation. I do have the application, which I kept when originally downloading it and installs OK, even accepts the registration details and allows me to play some games. Then a warning pops up saying only 30 games left. Tried reinstalling & turning wife off, but the warning still reappeared. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for your emails. Tried emailing support but website is obsolete so email went nowhere. I also tried the Amazon download except couldnt find where to download it – I have Windows & not Android so I guessed that was why I couldnt start any download.
Unfortunately I tried the website as I had lost my original Champ Euchre download but it looks as though I cannot even get the trial download for that!! I would not even mind buying the software again if I could be certain of activation this time!
Much appreciate help.

So I would guess badly what that was.

Here we can get Amazon Fire tablets for pretty cheap either from Amazon or Woot.com. Both of us here have one along with the usual Alexa devices.

The company must exist somewhere in order to get their apps up and running on Fire tablets so check back with them monthly until they resurface is my advice.

And given the game in question was free on my Fire tablet, maybe that’s the way to game on.

Windows 10 desktop. I do have a Samson phone running Android, but as we dont have a mobile signal here in the depths of Devon, we can only use it as an emergency when out and about, so the desktop is used here at home when I can play some games during lunchtime etc. Must say, I dont want to have t sign into an alternative device just to play one game, plus of course the desktop screen is far easier being large and the pc quicker!

I tried it on my Fire and it seems to launch in seconds, gameplay was fast. Since my Fire tablet is on WiFi (which I don’t see why that matters yet) the cellular connection isn’t required.

I’ve run into folk that want to play a certain game and to do so may require a change of scenery (hardware.) Such as to or from PC, Xbox, PS3/4/5/6/7, phone or tablet.

Now there is a way to Play Android Games on a PC but I didn’t research that since my thought was to see if this game could be found and found it was, for free no less.

It might help if you copy the program folder (in Program Files or Program Files (x86) and maybe their folders in Program Data and your appdata from the image backup of your old disk.

Alas, accessing the old registry is much more difficult.

Thanks, yes I have the original prog. files folder which I stored with the download nut that was all I found as there didnt seem to be anything on the prog data under the name or the app data, so couldnt find anything to back up. I have the game on a very old Windows Laptop and copied every registry key from there just in case it was worth putting them in my desktop registry [doing a backup first!] but I have a feeling it is probably some kind of sys 31 file that I dont know about as I am not very expert and that is about the sum of my knowledge. As I said, even when I tried to buy again [as I have completely lost their Champ Euchre as I didnt install it on the laptop] there is nowhere to buy it from. I seem to be hitting a brick wall and have run out of ideas. All of everyones thoughts and help are much appreciated.
