Active Desktop and Drive Letters

If you install IE4 off of the NT4 Option pack, that will give you the Active Desktop. You have to specify Yes to the question about the Desktop Update in the IE4 setup. If you want to update to IE 5 or 5.5 later, it will maintain the active desktop, but installing IE4 off of the option pack is the only way I know of installing the active desktop.

Drive letters may be changed with the NT4 Disk Administrator. You should be logged in as Administrator or someone with appropriate permissions, go to Start / Programs / Administrative Tools / Disk Administrator. Right-click the drive you want to change and select 'Assign Drive Letter.' Make your changes and exit Disk Administrator and you're all set -- the changes happen immediately.
