Active directory

by sleepsalot In reply to active directory help!

If you know active directory there should be no real problem. Active directory is a great tool. Just make sure you can tell how to set policies add and remove objects IE: computers, users, OU's. Set up accounts and permisions. If you can do all this you will have no problem. The most important thing is don't second guess your skills and abilities.

I can do that stuff with my eyes closed...but I think this job may entail stuff like changing which machines are global catalogs, or maybe messing with the FSMO roles...both of which I would have no problem with...

But you are right about not second guessing myself...which is the biggest problem I may have. I am confident about my active directory skills when it comes to every day GPO's, and adding and removing accounts and's just I know there are lots of little things you don't know unless you've had a need for it.

Anyone done any technical writing?
