I am have a pc I am using as a test system to finish my MCSE testing. In the machine I have a 3.2GB hard drive. I partitioned the hard drive as follows: 400MB for Windows 98, 2600MB for Windows 2000 server. I have installed both O/S’s just fine and both are working fine but I have tried to do a “dcpromo” to put active directory on the server and it locks up and does not complete installation every time. I thought the minimum partition size for a win2000 server was 2GB. I have tested the RAM andhard drive for problems and have found none. The only viable answer I have come up with is the partition is too small to install active directory. Wondering if I am correct in this assumption or if there is something else I am missing?
