Hi,
For a week i am trying to test our emergency recovery plan for our system
and i have problems with active directory restore.
1. If i backup system state with tape unit, can’t restore it because at
Active directory restore mode W2K serverdoesn’t load tape driver .
2. When i backup sysem state to a file and restore it to another server,
which doesn’t have same folder structure and ethernet cards (our w2k dc is
an exchange server) , i see the active directory but server doesn’t run
properly because of the other registery settings.
Is there any documentation how to restore Active directory to non identical
server and how can i restore it with a tape backup unit in case of luck of
file backup.
