Active Server Page

I am in need to install ASP on my machine hosting the website. At this point I am at lost as to where to find the app. to install ASP. Is this something that FrontPage install or installation from Win NT 4.0 Option pack?

I think it's on the Front Page cd (don't have mine at hand to check) in a folder called onestepweb or something like that.

IIS already knows how to handle ASP scripts. Just put them in and go..... It is handy to install the Front Page Server Extensions, if you are in need of editing your site from FP. If you have Office 2K premium, they FP Server Extensions are on disk 3, for Office 97, I believe they are on disk 2. But you don't really have to have them unless you are using FrontPage form handlers or DB results wizards. Having the Server Extensions also allows you to use FP to use a FP user DB to allow access to ceratain areas of your site.

Appearently it is not recongnizing that its an ASP. All the OPTION pack for IIS is installed.

ASP is just a file extension, normal, or basic Web pages have a .htm file extension ASP are similar but have a .asp file extension. The other things that make them different are the instructions <% %> and VBScript or Jscript commands to make the ASP run on the server rather than the browser.

So in a nutshell you need a programmer or developer to create the pages on your server, there is nothing to actually install like a WSH (Windows Scripting Host).
