A couple of questiosn to ask yourself

by Shanghai Sam In reply to Active server pages timin ...

1 - "It was working before" what? Any changes?

2 - Have you Service Packed our old friend NT lately? Take it up to SP6a if you can. If you have and if it's been a few months, then do it again. MS' SPs like that sort of thing.

3 - Try writing a real simple ASP script. An ASP version of "Hello World!" is suggested. This should not ever time out. There should be nothing else going on here: no calls to style sheets, no SSI, no database (especially!), nothing, nada. Then watch PERFMON as you execute the script.

4 - Check out the permissions on the ASP file, folder, and all folders above, as well as on your site. Like a lot of software, sometimes IIS will report "this" when the problem is really "that".
