What does this mean:

..." your current security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page" .

Security settings

It means that the security settings that you have set in Internet Explorer are set high enough that you are not allowing ActiveX controls to load or run. You have to decide whether or not you want them to run. Some sites such as Windows Update require Active X to run.
