If you're using Internet Explorer, open the Tools function and check the Advanced tab or Security tab. In Advanced you can allow or deny certain content. In Security, you can assign the URL to a different zone with higher priveleges, or even set up custom levels of access. We have a site that all of our employees need to use every day, and the provider uses unsigned ActiveX content. This requires that we put their site in the Trusted zone, and open up the access level to maximum risk levels- dumb, but unavoidable.
