"ActiveX component can't create object"

by shane.briggs In reply to "ActiveX component can't ...

I had the same problem with our mailing list software. I searched Microsoft KB and found the following articale.
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q185/1/26.asp

After trying everything with no success I reinstalled Windows Scripting Host and this resolved the issue.

I suggest you try these options (Scripting Hosts) would be quickest and hopefully it will resolve your problem.

You can get the Scripting Host update from:
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp

Regards,
Shane.

Hi,

We had the same problem with our mailing list software. We reolved it by replacing the Windows Scripting Host.

You can downlaod this from:
http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/vbscript/scripting.asp

Also you will find an article on Microsofts Knowledge Base although that did not help us.

Regards,
Shane.
