Ok enough is enough this is driving me insane! I need serious help here. I use Win NT 4.0 workstation (I’m at work), with IE 5.5 as my browser. Using Frontpage 2000 I am developing a training site for my company. I’m using (or should say trying to use) a nav bar created with Macromedia Flash. Whenever I save my work and then preview it in IE 5.5 it gives me some error saying “This page provides potentially unsafe information to an ActiveX control. Your current security settings prohibit runningcontrols in this manner. As a result this page may not display properly.”
The kicker is two fold: (1) I tried this page at home on my Win 98 IE 5.5 machine with Frontpage 2000 and it works without a hitch at all. (2) I’ve even gone as far as going into IE security settings and put it on low security for all zones and it still says “My current security settings prohibit this…” how much lower could I possibly set my IE security? This is so beyond annoying I can’t express it here. Its stopping my work and altering my design ideas for this project. I’ve installed the latest service patches for IE and Frontpage 2000 has the SR-1 patch installed. It still says this! What’s the deal?
