just a brief description of what i am try to achieve – i a working in a cross platform XP and OSX environment where my project is to log machines into the domain for various reasons.
I am contemplating what is the best method for managing user profiles in XP – either through the AD profiles tab of each user or using Folder Redirection within Group Policy Manager Console – any recommendations to which is best??
My other question is that by having user profiles on server shares this will become a very large amount of disk space usage – where i do not want to restrict users from having music etc.. on their machines, is there a way i can have the user profile server based but excluding certain file types such as MP3’s etc..??
Any help or recommendations would be very much appreciated.
