By jf555 ·
Hello,

Is it possible to install Windows 2003 Server with Active Directory but without having it supply DHCP and DNS? (currently they are supplied by the Router and want to continued to do so)If possible, can you please give some hints, thanks,

AD requires Windows DNS, but there's no need to have Windows DHCP installed.

You need DNS for Windows but you can configure Windows DNS to forward externals requests to the DNS on the router on the Forwarders tab.
