ADB Manager on PC thru USB port

By fearnott ·

This is my question. Is there a way to Place an (Apple Desktop Bus) Manager on the PC platform and have it access thru the PC's USB port/s to read Mac peripheral devices.
PC specs: Sempron 3000+ Athlon Processor, XP ,
USB 2.0 service pack 2,

Thank you

I'll assume this is related to the problem you are having with the software dongle. For most peripherals, the iMate's physical adapter will suffice and no special software is needed. For those devices that require full ADB emulation, a special driver needs to be installed, and Griffin Technologies has only provided that for Mac OS. In fact, they have not even bothered to qualify the software past OS X 10.3.9 [current version of Mac OS is 10.4.6], so I would not expect them to provide a version for XP, although I don't suppose it would hurt to ask.

Since ADB was obsoleted over five years ago, I would be inclined to upgrade the peripherals wherever practical.

Hope you can get it working without too much bother.

I dug a little deeper at the Griffin web site and found this:

Sorry for the bad news, but it looks like the upgrade is the only option.
