I am trying to add an alternate path for a volume I created using the DFS administrator. Every time I try to create the alternate volume, I get an error message stating “Failed to add network path \\server\sharename\path to the volume.” How can I accomplish my goal? I am using Microsoft Distributed File System 4.1 and I’m running it on my NT 4.0 SP6a servers.
