Add Dial-Up Adapter

By rgilbert ·
I removed the Dial-Up adapter from a laptop (Toshiba 4090 XDVD) with Win98. I now want it back but can't seem to find a way to reinstall the dial-up adaptor. Any help?

Add Dial-Up Adapter

Two ways to go about doing it - remove the installed modem, and reinstall. If that does not work, then reinstall Windows 98. You shouldn't need to format, just perform a fresh reinstall over your existing installation.

Good luck.

Thanks for quick response David, but I think I found an easier, quicker way. Network>Add Dial-Up adapter (here is the 'secret') ... IGNORE the long list of adapters shown, just pick Microsoft, Dial-Up adapter and click.
