Add global URL to SP2-IE Pop-up blocker?

    Locked

    by dchamp ·

Does anyone have a way, through a registry punch to add a url to the safe list of IE’s new pop-up blocker for all users?

I found how to do it for the “current user”, but not globally.
    Any help is appreciated.

This is how to do it for an individual user, but there’s no comparable key for “local machine”.

      Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

      [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\New Windows\Allow]
      “*.placeurl2here.com”=hex:
      “*.placeurlhere.com”=hex:

You could set it via a GPO, which could be applied locally or via the domain, depending on your setup.

You could create an administrative template forcing the registry key onto the users’ systems that require it via the GPO, since you have already located the correct registry key.

Thank you BFilmFan, it’s the closest thing I’ve come to the answer I’m looking for, though I was hoping there was one reg punch that would do the trick without having to resort to a GP (I had already thought of that).
That will be my last resort, if there is no other way.
      Thanks again,

Under computer settings go to the administrative templates\windows components\internet explorer\internet control panel\trusted sites zone and set the use popup blocker to disabled then just add sites to the trusted list in the internet control panel section on the site to zone assignment list……
