After installing W98SE and rebooting, the Add New Hardware Wizard is trying to add a “unknown device”. Part way into this it finds a device called “RC144AxF” and wants the software for it. I do not know what device it has found or even what software/device driver it might be looking for. The only non-motherboard hardware that is in this older NECP120 computer is a “Boca Research 28.8 Modem” and its model number is not this one.
