Hi All,
We have a network of 22 windows 2000/2003 servers. The majority are webservers, running IIS6, We have some SQL 2000/2005 servers and a IPSwitch Mail server. The network is setup over 4 different subnets (for security).
For the past few weeks I’ve been wondering if it might be better to setup a domain server and add all servers to the AD.
I have recently tested System Center Essentials 2007 (which only works in a domain environment) and I’m conviced that this will make my life a lot easier in terms of managing the network.
But here’s my question; All servers are production servers and if we go ahead and setup the domain, I need to bring network outage down to an absolute minimum. I’d just like to gather your thoughts and tips on if and how to do this and any problems that might occur during the process.
