Recently (possibly right after the latest big batch of uprades to WinXP) the Add/remove programs display has become corrupt.
When viewing the items in alphabetical order (default) I see entries up to the letter “D”. After that, I see lines that are completely black for several screens as I scroll down. Eventually, the lines just have two black areas, giving the impression of two black columns on the display.
If I change the sort order, I see entries further down in the alphabet, but still not the full complement of entries.
