I have a CD drive I want to add to a PC. When I plug the CD drive into the secondary IDE slot the PC doesn’t boot up. It doesn’t even POST. When I turn it off and unplug the CD drive all is OK. How can I install a CD drive? Currently the hard drive is in the primary IDE and nothing is in the secondary IDE. I would like to put the CD drive on the secondary IDE.
