ADDING A COMPUTER TO A DIFFERENT DOMAIN

We have two offices that are on different domains. I need to understand how to add a computer to the other domain. For Example, X domain is the parent office and Y is the child office. This computer will be used in the(Y) office. When I enter the domain for the (Y) office, it is not recognized by the server(2003) in (X) office..
