Adding a shared calendar to exchange 2K

By Patrick Horn ·
I have been asked to add a shared calendar to our exchange server's public folder so that multiple people can saynchronize their schedules. It was done by the previous admin, but I have never done it before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

First use exchange administrator make sure you as user have enough rights under the public folder to create new folders. Then open your outlook client from a workstation and navigate to the public folders. Here you can now create a new object of the type "Calendar". You are now the user with administrative rights to that and you can define who is allowed to do what on that folder by rightclicking it and then moving on to rights or permissions. Make sure there is another user with administrative rights to that folder (If you change your job and move on to another company, your user account gets deleted and no one else would be able to change anything in that folder).
