I’m having trouble adding another hard drive, I have phycially set the drives to master and slave. Not to sure what to do in the BIOS, I have selected both the drives to auto detect, without success. After re-boot it does not find any HD and says ‘operating system not present’. I have also manually added the correct cyclinders, heads, scl details for both drives but the above error occurs. As soon as I remove the extra drive everything is ok. The extra drive is sharing the same cable as the primary drive that is attached to the motherboard (there is another connector on the end to attach another HD) I have no spare port on the motherboard to use.
