Adding checkbox to Excel sheet

By charu0306 ·
Hi all,
Please clarify whether a control like checkbox can be added to an Excel worksheet at runtime. If yes, how? I want to add a series of checkboxes based on a click of a button. Can someone help? I need it urgently. Thanks and
regards,
Charu.

I don't know of a way to create controls at runtime in VBA, but you can always create all the checkboxes you need, and set their Visible property to false until you want them to be displayed...

Visual Object creation at runtime is not possible. It is better to put all the required checkboxes into the form and use the .visible property of checkboxes to control the visibility.

You may also want to use "frame" object to contains the checkboxes for better organization.
The approaches simplifies making a set of checkboxes visible/invisible.

Superb and thanks a lot! I did the same thing in another way using user forms but your answer cleared my doubt.

Thanks again,
Charu.
