Adding Exchange 2000 to Netware Network

by clarkstownpolice . Updated 25 years, 5 months ago

We are currently running a Netware 5.0 network and have opted to go with Exchange 2000 for our email. We have a T1 and installed a CISCO PIX box for our firewall. According to the CISCO we need a public and private Exchange email server. We have the two servers and want to simply integrate them into our existing NDS tree. We ordered a software called Services For Netware which supposedly makes it very easy to integrate.

From what I’ve read the 2 Win2000 servers can be peers (no PDC or BDC needed)and then a “trust” needs to be set up between them in order for them to replicate the public mail to the private (in house) mail and vice versa.

Being that this is the first time we have used or will be installing Win2000 server and Exchange 2000 – any and all advice or help is appreciated.

Our main concern is the proper setup and sequence of the two servers and administrating the user objects from NDS.

Thanks in advance.
