Adding Logon information to printout

By Scooby170480 ·
Ok, Is there anyway that i can append the logon information to the stuff coming out of the printer. I have used Banners but that is not a viable option due to the use of lots more paper!

Any help would be great, as i am trying to findout who keeps printing reams and reams of absolute rubbish.

I'm using win2000 Server and the printer (In Question is a HP2200DN, with the jetdirect card running)

I have other printers that i would like to configure. but this is the main one!

Cheers

Hi,

I don't know if this is the answer, but try using the separator page in the printer setup.

Yeah, as i said (in a roundabout way) in the post. Due to extra paper used for using the separator page!! This is unacceptable, due to budget constraints!

How about this...
Open Printers
Click File
Click Server Properties
Click Advanced
Click Notify when remote document prints or the option right below it.

Thanks
Unfortunately, that didn't actually do anything noticable.
What i need is some way that the logon information is added to the actual print out. So when we check the stuff coming out of the printer we can identify who it belongs to. Unfortunately checking in EVENT Viewer only tells you who printed and the size. which with a couple of hundred print outs a day !! thats a lot of chasing up.
