I have a Compaq Proliant ML350 w/1 18.4GB hard drive and I’ve been using it for a file server. Now that I have the money I would like to add the Smart Array 431 raid card and three more 18.4GB drives and run raid level 5 and some how incorporate my existing drive in this equation without screwing things up on my current drive. HELP? I’m pretty new at this and need some good advice and guidance. I have set up a raid array before but I started with four drives that time and I’ve never added raid to an existing system.
