Adding second subnet to Win2k3 AD domain site

By mbowman.1 ·
Good afternoon - I've read some posts on the subject but need some hand holding...

I need to add a secondary subnet to one of our AD sites. Existing site subnet is 192.168.1.x/255.255.255.0. I have a secondary NIC ready for use, and have created the new 192.168.3.x subnet in AD. I need communication between the subnets and looking for some explicit HowTos. Any assistance is greatly appeciated.

A good guide to AD sites and services

The following link goes to a pretty good MS guide on AD Sites, it includes info on how to add additional subnets to an existing site.

Thanks for the info...

Much appreciated. I'm comfortable with creating and assigning the subnets to sites, so my question now is (and I didn't see this in there unless I'm totally blind)if two subnets exist in the same site, do they communicate by default? No additional configuration is required? My intent is to use the new 3.x network for RRAS VPN connections only. Thx.
