Adding unattached network printers in Windows? prnmngr

by stasisaudio . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

Trying to add network printers to an image via PRNMNGR without the printers actually being connected to the network.

C:\Image User>cscript prnmngr.vbs -a -p “” -m “Xerox Phaser 3450 PCL 6” -r “”

Seems to find the printer, and goes as far as installing the driver, but then errors out with code 1798 – print processor not found.

Anyone know a way around this? The command help doesnt specify ways to set additional options. Should we be using prnmngr to do this, or is there an easier way?

Thanks
