Adding User rights on Windows 2000 for o

By willy ·
I am not that familiar with Windows 2000 Pro. I have an office with 10 computers running Windows 98, and my personal computer running Windows 2000. In network neighborhood I am able to access the other computers, but the others computers cannot access the Windows 2000 computer. It comes up with a box saying \\willy\ipc$, and it asks for a password to make the connection to the Windows 2000 computer. Can anyone share some insight on how to accomplish this task?

Thank You

Make sure you have created user accounts on your win2k workstation for the people who need access. Make sure the ids and passswords match the ones they are using on their computers. You should be able to map drives on their computers that point to your Win2k workstation using UNC (ex. \\yourworkstaion\sharename)
