I just got a Sun Ultra 10 with an additional network adapter (to the onboard one). Ifconfig used to show that adapter as hme1 but I wasn't using it. Now I intend to start using it but I found out that ifconfig only shows hme0 and hme1 disappeared completely. Any suggestions?

Each Network Card needs its own unique setting, so I would check with the Manufacturer's configuration utility in the control panel. Or else there is Windows NT Diagnostics in the Administrative Tools folder. Also each card will need its own IP address.
By default SUN`s network adapters share same MAC-address. Try to setup unique addresses via monitor (to enter monitor press <Stop><A> on keyboard). You doesn`t provide enough information. What output produce ifconfig, when you issue: ifconfig hme1 ? You can mail me hugevlad@yahoo.com With best regards, Vlad.
