Question

Locked

additional security on windows

By guesss_84 ·
Due to some HR delay in getting userids, many of us are using the same userid/password to login to our systems. Is there anyway through which we can have additional security for our windows desktop.? Like can we make some program run which asks for some password everytime the system is unlocked, and if the password is wrong, we can lock the system again.

Nothing native to Windows.

What's the Setup?

I asume you're on a network running servers with Active Directory?

If so you may just want to create a generic user with very tight security settings.

Everyone should have their own credentials. I would want to nip that in the bud.

generic user is a good idea, and a solid GP would be good as well.
