AddRemove Programs
When I open AddRemove Programs and then click on Windows setup the computer starts to search for installed windows programs, then pops up an old 3.1 error box (white box ) saying Rundll32 an error has occured
click ignore or close (blah,blah,).
When I click on close I get a grey box saying
:Rundll32 has caused an error in SETUPX.DLL Rundll32 will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer.
I have tryed reinstalling Rundll32.exe and SETUPX.DLL, Running scanreg , booting into DOS and typing scanreg /fix, scanreg /opt and scanreg /restore , all to no avail.
I ran System restore but that didn't fix the problem.
The only thing I could find relating to the prob was a logfile in System Infomation/Tools/FaultLog Which said :
**********************************************************************

RUNDLL32 caused a general protection fault
in module SETUPX.DLL at 0007:00005672.
