Address Location of outlook express

By Keelhan ·
I do not work much with outlook express so i was surprised when i could not find location of the address book.
In Outlook 2000 the addresses are stored either in .pst or .pab file.
What is the location of the outlook ones?
Do they require manual registry editing?
what i am looking for is to share the same address book in multiple profiles. It is easy in outlook 2000. Is it possible in outlook express?

Hi, and happy new year!

I'm still a bit groggy, but I think you want to look for a '.wab' file ("Windows Address Book"?). This article from Microsoft tells you how to copy/move/share it with someone else...

Both asnwers are correct and they helped me. - thanks.
i will still need to do a research if it is at all possible to share the .wab file.acording to statement below and the microsoft it is not.
I think it could only be done by registry by pointing a reference to a different wab file?
thanks to both of you

The answer is the *.wab (Windows Address Book) however you cannot do a simple copy and paste like in Outlook, you must do a backup and restore (Export and Import. In the address book click FILE then choose Import Export.
