Admin password

We are using Windows 2000 server and I need to change either the admin user name or the admin password. Is this possible in Win2K Server without causing any other problems.
I remember trying it in WinNT Server and had to change the password in loads of other services as well and I can’t afford the system to be down for too long at the moment.
