Admin Shares across Domains

By pmessar ·
HI can anyone help. We have an NT network with several Domains. The problem is that Whilst being able to access Admin shares on the PDCs of other Domains I can not Access Admin Shares on Workstations in other domains. Points to note, we have two waytrusts between all the domains and it does not matter which domain you are in you can not access admin shares on other domains workstations other than the one you are logged into. I have Domain admin rights and Local Admin rights for all Domains.
Many thanks

Admin Shares across Domains

Since you can access the admin shares on the servers, you know that your trusts are working.

On the workstations, security is a little bit different. Think of a workstation that is a domain member as a 'domain' that trusts the actual domain. So you could access the workstation if you login with an admin account for the domain it belongs to, or:

at the workstation, add YOURDOMAIN\ADMINISTRATORS to the workstation's local Administrators group.

By default, only DOMAINTHEWORKSTATIONBELONGSTO\ADMINISTRATORS and the local admin account are members.

Wish I had your Brain thanks a lot. It just seems a long winded way of having to go to each Workstation and add the global admin group to the local admin group.
Still I was not responsible for setting up the Domains.
Once again Thanks.
