Administrative PASSWORD change in NT

By lovetheavguy ·
My admin password has failed on NT 4.0 after I installed Linux Mandrake on a seperate partition. How can I change my administrator password without re-installing?

Re: WinNT Password

Well, it seems like you are one step ahead with LINUX install on it now you need to perform the following:

All you need is a dos program call ntfsdos
and l0pht Crack.

copy the sam file for you by mounting the ntfs drive

then using l0pht Crack ,Crack the Sam file
thats it the only thing u have to worry about is that

This is also a way to test your PASSWORD SECURITY in NT.

Remember the SAM file contains every single user and password on it. This will also help you implement a stronger SECURITY on your network.
