Ok, I feel really stupid. This problem is one that has befuddled me and a few others, so I thought I would look to my peers. I have a machine running W2K sp2 with a 3Com Home Connect ADSL PCI modem. It works great as long as I do not install a NIC. I have tried 3 different NICs and brands to rule that out. When I install the NIC the network protocols flip out and add two new things named ELANs and I cannot remove these. Any idea what to do for this so as to be able to use this machine as a gateway? TIA. BTW….Please refer answers to email also as I only get to this site about once a week.
