I am thinking of changing careers and I would like to get into the IT
world. I have been a heavy computer user for years although never
had any formal training. I am 29 yrs old and currently a math high
school teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Business (not really sure
how it happened) but I believe to have qualities that might be useful
in this area. I am somewhat of a geek (in a good way), like to read
manuals, techy texts and am fluent in English, Portuguese and
Spanish. My questions are:
1) Should I go back to school? For a Master’s Degree? Or Certificates
should be good to get started ? (which ones?)
Any info would be greatly appreciated. As you can probably tell from
the reading above, I am looking for some direction. Please help and
be honest.
